Estate Planning

Estate planning is the process of designating who will receive your assets and handle your responsibilities after your incapacitation or death.  Your Estate Plan encompasses 2 distinct times – during your life and after you pass.

During your lifetime your Estate Plan provides your Advance Directives.  These provide for your care during your lifetime, especially in the event that you become incapacitated.

After your passing your Estate Plan provides your Will and/or Trust.  These documents provides you with the ability to make your final directions on how you want your assets to pass to your beneficiaries.

At Generations of Trust, our goal is to ensure that your beneficiaries receive your assets in a way that minimizes probate, estate tax, gift tax, income tax, and other expenses.  We do this through a careful review of your assets, educating you on your options, and writing a customized estate plan that best fits your situation.
